1. Chanel’s Luxury Couture in Virtual Reality

  • Chanel’s “Le Bal de Paris” interactive Virtual Reality (VR) show in Singapore created an immersive couture experience for guests to wear couture through digital fashion for a Parisian Ball.

💡 Why this matters to Fashion

  • Brand Influence. Chanel is not the first luxury brand to leverage tech, but it’s a trendsetter for fashion to follow and this marks a big move into leveraging tech for the Fashion industry.

  • Immersive Experience. Brands should guide consumers into embracing new tech & innovations through physical + virtual events like Chanel to create a tailored experience on site.

✍️ THE RUNWAY DIARIES

Keeping up with Fashion, Tech & Trends is no easy task. My running joke is that a New York Minute = Asian Second = Web3 Millisecond. This is based on the speed markets moves and it is literally NOT possible to keep up. Yes, I said it because that’s the honest truth, but we can definitely stay in the know.

When I started 🪩 The Digital Runway 🪩 the goal was to stay informed, decode Tech and share insights. Having worked in the Global Fashion & Beauty Industry, I wanted to share to my network who were confused and skeptical about my excitement for innovation.

As a 🇰🇷 🇺🇸 Korean-American I’m excited about collaborations that share culture with the world like the Endstate x MFA collaboration. We haven’t even scratched the surface of this one yet! 👀

Learning is key especially with innovation. Last week, I was sharing with a friend for a podcast (will let you know when it was posted) that I jumpstarted into Web3 after hearing about it for a full year. Without doing any research initially I thought NFTs, Crypto and JPG monkeys (Bored Ape Yacht Club) was ridiculous.

On January 1, 2022 I decided to educate myself because I couldn’t ignore the money trail, hype and possibilities. Like GaryVee recommends I did my 40+ hours of research. But, I was already hooked after a few hours because I saw undeniable future of leveraging tech when it comes to Fashion & Beauty.

💬 Let’s connect

What’s your Tech/Web3 story? How did you get into it? Or why not? 👀

Hit reply and let’s have a chat.

P.S. I’m headed to NFT NYC and looking forward to going to an in real life (IRL) event. If you’re going, then I would love to meet!
