✍️ THE RUNWAY DIARIES

🚀 Launching 🪩 The Digital Runway 🪩 was a childhood dream come true.

👀 Last week I launched Issue #001.

👇 Here’s what I learned:

1) Things don’t always go to plan. The newsletter was supposed to go out on Friday morning 5am EST because Fashion Friday… but, because it was my first time using newsletter platform beehiiv - I had major technical issues.

2) It takes a community. Shoutout to my friend Kim who helped trouble shoot and the beehiiv team & community who helped solve the problems, so I could launch finally on Saturday morning.

3) Entrepreneurship is like being a college student. I stayed up until 5am eating snacks while writing & trouble shooting. It felt like I was cramming for finals. Can anyone else relate?

4) Running a Marathon and NOT a Sprint. I’m creating content differently this time after coming back from burnout. My focus is on purpose and ROI. The long game is about being focused, strategic, reasonable and consistent. AVOID sprint, burnout, repeat. DO walk, rest, repeat.

5) Shoot your shot. I posted about Schiaparelli Spring Summer 2024 last week and how the tech inspired runway pieces like Robot Baby and Motherboard Dress should have an AR filter. Now, I’m co-creating a Schiaparelli inspired Fashion Filter with an AR Designer and you!

🎬 That’s a wrap!

Next week, I’ll be on a panel at Digital Fashion Week at FIT. If you’re going or want to connect in NYC, then let me know.

💃 Happy Fashion Friday & have a nice weekend!
