EssilorLuxottica potentially boosting their Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses Partnership. (French-Italian eyewear giant) acquired Supreme for $1.5B. Plus, Meta is reportedly eyeing a 5% stake
The Supreme Acquisition:
2007: Acquired by The Carlyle Group (Private Equity)
2020: Acquired by VF Corporation (owns The North Face, Vans, etc) for $2.1B
2024: Acquired by EssilorLuxottica (Eyewear for brands like Prada, Ray-Ban, etc) for $1.5B
Meta's Move: Meta is looking to invest $5B for a 5% stake in EssilorLuxottica signalling a deeper integration with fashion + tech aka wearable tech.

Balenciaga Brings Fashion Shows to Apple Vision Pro

Balenciaga is launching the first Luxury Fashion Experience on Apple Vision Pro. The brand has already been Tech focused with Gaming and an NFC Chipped RTW Collection (read more here).
Key features include:
Interactive Shows: Watch and interact with runway videos including the spring 2025 Shanghai show in 4K with drone views.
Lookbook Navigation: Click through lookbook images to jump to specific looks.
Future Plans. Includes shopping integration, additional shows and 3D images of runway looks.
